Just arrived in Robe. Lucky me! Sensational weather here what a lifestyle. I was inland all day and a bit warm. Robe is not contributing to the power usage for aircons. Not tonight anyway!

China cancels Crayfish from Australia
Robe crayfishermen can’t win this year, but there is a silver lining to every situation. What a great opportunity to sample this delicacy while the price is consumer friendly. Fresh crayfish, straight from the briney, fresh bread, lashings of butter, cracked black pepper – a complete cholesterol fix!
No need to mention it to the doctor – but best to leave the butter out if you really do have high cholesterol.

Robe Crayfish season open now
It’s a month later than usual but the crayfish season is open and the crays are crawling into the pots. Fresh cray, fresh bread and a crisp white wine – YUM!
The southern ocean rock lobster industry is important to Robe and attracts many visitors to the town each year.
While staying at ’the shelter’ pop down to Sky Seafoods and select a crayfish. Set yourself up on the deck and indulge in the delicious taste experience of this delicacy. A crisp Sauvignon Blanc from Wangolina is a great match for it.
