Ahhhh February!

Welcoming fresh flowers at 'The Shelter' B&B at Robe SA

Well the rush is over and the crowds have thinned.
School is back and Robe is a sensational place to be.
February is one of the best months weather wise in Robe, a bit of summer warmth for trips to the beach during the day and deliciously cool evenings for a great nights sleep.
My guests today loved the welcoming flowers at The Shelter B&B at Robe.

Robe Boat Show 20-21 Jan 2012

This could be you

This event is new to Robe and the organisers have done a sensational job. There is the proverbial something for everyone but of particular interest to me is the Crayfish dinner Crayfish Dinner Brochure 2 What an opportunity. It really does all happen in Robe.

Happy New Year

The Pierre de Ronsard has been in full bloom - beautiful

I hope you had a wonderful festive season but time flies and here we are well into January.
Robe was very warm over NY so it was great to have the airconditioner at The Shelter. The weekend has been a bit blustery but hopefully there will be some good beach weather for the rest of Vac Swim. Regardless, Robe is still a great place to be, but you should always pack a jumper!

New seafood outlet in Robe

fresh seafood - yum!

Seafood Temptations is a great spot to buy fresh seafood from locals in Robe. Just up the road from Mahalia Coffee. Why not pop into Mahalia’s for a coffee and then stroll up the road to select your ‘catch of the day’.

New Year’s well on the way!

By gosh Robe’s been a busy little spot and the time has just got away. Many are headed home as school resumes next week. if you’re quick, there’s still a chance to catch a weekend in Robe at ‘the shelter’ before January’s over. The lifestyle in Robe is second to none, if you haven’t been down for a while pop it in your diary under ‘to do’. We’re also thinking of those less fortunate cleaning up from the floods and wishing them well.

Robe is wet – and so are a lot of other places!

Woah, what a season – woke to the most amazingly heavy rain in Robe this morning. Other areas of the Limestone Coast had plenty too. 5 inches in the old money at Wrattonbully I believe and what about Naracoorte flooding? Adelaide is deluged too. What is Mother Nature up to??
It’s still fabulous walking on Longbeach at Robe and the gardens are loving it but so sorry for the farmers who have lost crops.
